Project description

Rijpunt is a digital platform concept designed for driving instructors to manage their administration and planning in a clear and structured way. The system helps track students, driving lessons, lesson packages, invoices, and payments in one central place. In this project, I focused on designing a clear and efficient user experience through user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.

Throughout the project, I continuously refined the platform through an iterative design process. After each round of interviews, surveys, observations, and prototype testing, I analyzed the feedback and translated the findings into design improvements.

2.JPG

Multiple iterations of the prototype were created to validate assumptions and improve the user experience. Each iteration focused on making administrative tasks more efficient, simplifying navigation, and improving the overall clarity of the platform.

By repeatedly testing and refining the design, I was able to develop a solution that better aligned with the needs and workflows of driving instructors. This iterative approach ensured that design decisions were informed by user feedback rather than assumptions.

Homepagina

On this page, the user can perform quick actions, such as creating a new lesson, adding a new student, generating a new invoice, and creating a new package. In addition, the user can view past and upcoming lessons and start them.

The user can manage different lesson packages, including creating new ones or deleting existing ones. Each package includes a name, price, and number of lessons.

This is the shortcut for creating a new lesson. This can also be done from a student’s profile.

Using the shortcut or through the student information page, the user can create a new invoice for a student. There is also an overview of paid and outstanding amounts.

All invoices are displayed in this overview. They are organized into paid and outstanding invoices. By clicking on an invoice, the user can view more details, open the PDF, or delete the invoice.

One of the main design decisions was to bring all essential administrative tasks into a single platform. Driving instructors often rely on multiple tools to manage students, lesson packages, invoices, payments, and planning. By centralizing these features, the platform reduces complexity and provides a clear overview of daily operations.

To help instructors quickly understand the status of their business, the platform was designed around a dashboard that highlights the most important information at a glance. This reduces the time spent searching for student information, upcoming lessons, or outstanding payments.

Instead of organizing information around separate administrative modules, many workflows were designed around the student. This allows instructors to easily view lesson progress, purchased packages, payment status, and future appointments from a single location.

A key objective throughout the project was minimizing the number of actions required to complete common tasks. User flows and interface structures were continuously refined to make scheduling lessons, managing students, and tracking payments as efficient as possible.

Rather than relying solely on assumptions, major design decisions were validated through interviews, surveys, observations, and prototype testing. Feedback from these activities informed multiple iterations of the platform, ensuring that the final design aligned with real user needs.
